**MY REVIEW**
SHORT: A dead sister, a mother who committed suicide, and now, after three years of wallowing in misery, cutting herself, starving and living isolation, Mercy has decided to come out of her hole, at the exact time that the circus roles into town. The circus disappeared the night her sister died, and they're the only ones who really know what happened to her...

The first thought I had about this book was: Faith, Mercy and Prudence. I get being preacher's daughters, but WOAH! You get it, right?

My second thought was you ignored your entire family for three whole years? You cut yourself, just 'didn't eat to punish yourself because you allowed your sister to sneak out'? I get damaged, but not realizing your baby sister got on her period until years after the fact is a little too much.

And then I REALLY got into the book, and it was so much better than anything I expected! I loved that they were preachers' daughters, that the CIRCUS was a part of it, that we got to meet all these crazy circus people, and Cross *OMG* and there were also nice church people, crazy brothers and even the coolest baby sister.

All in all, I had a really good time reading In Place of Never - it was a medium paced, cute novel that I really recommend!
